Corbins Electric leverages the use of cutting-edge technology in all areas of our business. We recently developed, and plan to develop more, custom mobile applications to eliminate paperwork, speed up processes, and increase communication. Our fully-customized Catavolt app allows employees to enter their weekly timesheets, daily reports, materials order, tool orders, change orders, rental equipment orders, and much more. For this purpose, each field supervisory position is assigned an iPad. These iPads also contain BlueBeam, a software platform that allows for real-time project documentation. Gone are the days of printing out volumes of blueprint drawings and trying to keep the most current version with you at all times. Employees can literally walk around the project site and see real-time updates to plans, specifications and drawings from their mobile devices. This information is readily shared with the general contractors and owners, allowing for changes to be tracked and documented. And all of our development has been done with in-house staff.
