Walking Like MADD to Raise Awareness
This past weekend, 59 of our employees and their families (including ten virtual walkers) joined Mothers Against Drunk Driving for their signature annual fundraiser, Walk Like MADD to bring awareness and raise funds to bring an end to drunk and drugged driving. These preventable crimes take the lives of more than ten thousand people each year and drunk driving remains the leading cause of death on our roads. In the weeks leading up to the walk, two of our employees, Jennifer Thompson and Heather Blahak held internal bake sales that raised $1,152. In total, Corbins was able to contribute $2,917 surpassing our $2,000 goal, ranking Team Corbins third overall out of 42 teams. Here at Corbins, building TRUST means we are looking out for our teammates and strengthening work family bonds whether it be in the office or showing support at a fundraiser. For Jennifer Thompson, this is a cause that is close to her heart, “I’ve been doing this walk for years and to see my team form and the overwhelming support surrounding my cause makes it all worth it”.
